Walked up to her and smiled

Was something that always brought out a frown ...

Fields of green passed them by
As different colours and contours could be seen in the sky
A red mist appeared suddenly out of nowhere
Enveloped these two
In a bond that we cherish and fear ...

They talked about football and the weather
Sang a few songs and cracked some jokes
Wondered how they strive to find a new way to carry on
To move away from the memories of the past that take us away ...

The train pulled into the last station
And it was time to say goodbye
But before she could turn and walk away
He came close and held her in a loving embrace ...

Told her that she was special
And that he'll like to meet her someday
Would she be kind enough
To give him a number ? A name ?

She obliged and kissed him on his cheek
Ran away only to
Meet him again that week ...

That's the only true love story that I know
Something that always makes me smile
In my moments of pleasure and pain
Having someone to love and care about
Isn't that all life is all about ?
